Everybody Covers “Use Somebody”

Kings Of Leon’s “Use Somebody” has got to be the most covered song ever!
And Kings of Leon must loooooooove it. All these pop stars covering their song and making it sound sweet and like the perfect top 40 love song. If they were dead, they’d be rolling over in their graves.
What will really get them rolling (dead or alive) is this new cutie, curly headed blonde thing singing their song.
Katelyn Epperly (who I think may have been on Idol… not sure what season or if that is even true) has done a “Use Somebody” arrangement with her pretty voice and piano.
She wears bows in her hair for God’s sake… she is too adorable and Caleb Followill rather have a pigeon $#!t on him again than have her do this song.
I’m gonna go cover “Use Somebody”… maybe I will use a harp or marimba???
Oh and bonus (and because I just want to type out his name and talk about him)…. listen to Lee DeWyze’s version… Lee bear brings it. (plus that picture is horrendously photoshopped… just focus on the song)

I don’t remember exactly when Katelyn got cut, but it may have been the same week as Alex Lambert and Lilly Scott.
Anyway, Lee owns this cover! I liked Katelyn’s rendition of The Scientist on the show, but this one, not so much. Okay, truthfully, I didn’t get beyond the second line when I paused it and listened to Lee’s version, which incidentally I have on my iPod so I really didn’t have to listen to it here but couldn’t help myself.
No I’m not Lee-obsessed. Why do you ask

I must have been reeling from the loss of Alex Lambert to notice she bounced. it still upsets me a little bit.

You know, I just remembered that Brooke White, from Idol season 7 also covered this on her album. Yeah, you’re right, everybody covers this song. But Lee still owns it.

Came across this a while back..Katelyn’s version is pretty awesome! Lol she was on Lee’s season
And youre right, Use Somebody is no doubt, one of the most covered songs in the last few couple of years.

SHE WAS?!?!? at what point did she get too?? wow I have no recollection of her at all…. I kind of lack a television so I had to watch everything online lol so maybe I just missed her. Im gonna have to google this chick
