Rocco's Pop Revolution: Seen through the eyes of someone living it

Lee D. Back In Chicago (Without Oprah) & What He’ll Do In St. Louis

Posted on: November 30, 2010

I just had the most amazing, completely fake fantasy. What if Oprah and Gayle were looking for something to do on November 29th in Chicago and they thought “hey … let’s go to the Hard Rock Cafe!”?? I can just picture Oprah and Gayle eating wings/burgers (without Stedman) listening to Lee bear.

Again, that wasn’t even close to the reality of last night (as far as I know)… but I just thought that would be really superb if that happened.

This Lee guy is good! Just like my burger. YUM YUM YUM!

Here are a few more videos from Hard Rock Cafe last night (without a guest appearance from the Op)

Story of the ‘Belles’….. “Annabelle” and “Isabelle” are definitely BFFs. And they should probably call him back.

THE MASH UP AGAIN! The songs go so perfectly together somehow…. and I don’t even think they are in the same key, but I guess that’s the beauty of it, and why he is a songwriter, and I’m not. But I bet I write better blogs than he does. (ZING!)

And finally he performs his song about sleep again. I was starting to think he turned against the bed and was an insomniac. Which would have been dumb. And not at all good for his health.

And this is probably my favorite performance. I really like the song “Earth Stood Still”… I don’t even know what it is about it that makes me like it so much. But I don’t need to have a reason. So just listen to it and you’ll understand.

You completely understand don’t you? I knew we could be friends.

It looks like glitter on his guitar. Nice.

And I just found “Simple Man” and it was good (as per usual) but his little end speech warms my heart.

His Sally Field speech starts at 4:30.

And WTF is he doing in St. Louis? Hopefully, not getting shot. I read that it’s the most dangerous city. Seriously.

This is probably what his trip to St. Louis will look like. No I’m sure this is what his trip will be like. He will fo sho be rolling on dubs.

Just stopping by to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. So glad I subscribed! It would be like Oprah to enjoy the hamburger more than Lee. That’s Ok, one less woman to beat off on my way to him, LOL. St. Louis has taken the lead as the most dangerous? That’s sad, I was there in the late 80s and it was a nice town. Things change too fast…

HAHAH. im sure you could take oprah any day. lol thanks so much for subscribing!!

I’m wondering if either of the “Belle’s” have gotten in touch with him hmmmm. . . If he ever wrote a “Cindy” song I would fo sho try to contact him lol! Maybe there will be one on his next album – who knows maybe he can even figure out something to rhyme with Rocco :) :) How awesome would that be?!!

if he could find a rhyme scheme for rocco he deserves the pulitzer.

Yes Lee, a Cindy song(that’s my name ,too) or at least Cindybelle.

Thanks for the videos, Rocco. Lee sounds amazing, as always.
I’m so glad you’re on twitter now.

I’m actually glad to be on twitter too. :)

ironically Rocco I have been requesting Lee to be on Oprah for a few months now..not likely to happen being it’s her final season but I had the most amazing, completely fake fantasy too…that Oprah would have Lee on the show and just have to fly me there to be a fan in the audience…a girl can dream!!!

Oprah needs to get on it then!! We should email her right now… she can do whatever she wants… and by that I mean kick a guest off her show to put him on the bill. :)

You must have her phone number by now…can’t you just call her and tell her to get with it…he is a Chicago boy after all so what’s the matter with her anyway!!
