My first reaction when I see the title Very Merry Mixer, I think frat party. But then I see the numbers 106.5 (which clearly indicates radio station) and the words Campbell Heritage Theater, and my dreams are squashed. I’m confident that the Campbell Heritage Theater wouldn’t allow some drunk bros to throw a mixer and I’m confident those said drunk bros wouldn’t want Lee D. singing, because then none of the drunk girls would go home with them. They’d all be fighting over Lee and his head of hair. Am I right?
Sorry drunk frat fellas… maybe next year.
Once I clarified the fact that it was a radio show, my morning made sense once again, because Lee bear has been doing these kinda shows for what seems like forever. And thanks to this cute puppy that has an awesome red scarf/ hat combo (and I assume the puppy’s owner, because you and I both know dogs don’ t have opposable thumbs and can not take video of Lee bear) we have some vids from the non-frat mixer!! YAY!
I’m just going to post videos of “Earth Stood Still” until I die because I really like this song… hopefully you still do too. I’m going to make a gigantic assumption and say he likes it too and after hearing the “wooo”s I’m assuming the drunk girls at the non-frat mixer like it too. Glad we all agree. This friendship is really blooming.
Still no guitar part I see… I’m going to put that dream to rest. He is just ignoring me. Whatev. On to the fashion that I love so much!
Nice kicks brotha!! The little pop of grey on your head and feet stand out nicely with the black/denim ensemble you’re rocking. Not to mention that crimson background looks wonderful against your skin tone. (And Lincoln’s awesome red pants are the same color…. nice.)
“Hallelujah” makes me sad sometimes… and I have no idea why. I don’t even really listen to the words all that much because they confuse me and make me sad. So let’s get sad and watch Lee sing it.
Once again… glad he does “Beautiful Like You” all the time. Don’t stop stop stop singing it. Thanks! (wow I just made myself laugh at that one)
I haven’t heard “Live It Up” in a while… or I just haven’t been paying attention, which it totally an option for me. But I’m going to go with the point that I am so attentive to all things Lee and I NEVER miss anything. He just hasn’t done it in a bit??? Right?? I couldn’t even convince myself with that one, so I’m sure I didn’t convince you.
Side note: I always said (to myself) that I hated the line “let’s find out what lies between you and me and the movie seat ohhhhh” because why would you go to the movies with someone to “live it up” and not sit directly next to each other. Stupid and even worse macking skills than me Lee bear. But, I’m a complete dumbass and just realized that he doesn’t even say anything about a movie seat!! The line is “So let’s find out what lies between, you and me and the more we say “Hellooooo” “. But I’m sure you all knew that already.
Please do not judge me on this. I swear I am a Lee fan. I promise this… I’m not a fraud. I’m just going to blame it on his poor diction NOT my lack of listening skills. (again couldn’t convince myself on this one either)
HOLD THE F-IN PHONE!! My BFF’s on Twitter have informed me Lee bear is singing about a movie seat or scene or something about the cinema. I apologize to Lee bear for saying he has bad diction. You’re diction is perfect dude!
And I apologize to myself, for getting down on my listening skills! I have great listening skills in fact and if I can understand what Busta Rhymes and Lil’ Wayne are saying… I can definitely understand Lee D. (except “Sweet Serendipity”… we all know how FAST those lyrics are )
So, moral of the story is, Lee keep singing about the movies and you pronounce things just fine and my ears are perfect. Thank you all for the reassurance.
I DO want to make fun of the people at directlyrics.com, metrolyrics.com, and lyricsmode.com for putting out false information. Check yo self!
Good show…. and thanks again to the dog and the dog’s owner. You both are wonderful… and I bet you are both adorable.
Oh and go to the Red Beanie Blog for all things Lee and more videos!!!
I’m going to go listen to Live It Up and read the lyrics…. who knows what else I’ve been wrongly accusing Lee D of.

I swear my favorite Lee D song changes EVERY day lol! Yesterday it was M&MJ, but today it’s ESS (I’m so fickle, or else I just love all things Lee). Anyhoo, I’m a little confused over the Live It Up Lyrics too. The lyrics in the cd liner say, “So let’s find out what lies between you and me and the movie scene, Hello”. I’m thinking (& that can be extremely dangerous) it could mean – boy sees girl, boy likes the leave-me-the-hell-alone look girl gives him, boy says hello & now boy wants to see where things go from here. Anybody else got any other ideas
Great blog entry, Rocco! What an amazing show that one must have been! He is so great at changing up every song….I wonder how hard that is to do and for Lincoln to be able to follow him? Does anyone else feel like his voice is a drug?? LOL!
Yeah, & I’m definitely overdosing lol!
Watching his acoustic shows on youtube are now officially a daily fixture in my otherwise pretty mundane life, I have to admit, in addition to drugging myself with LIU the album of course. Even though I’m quite used to expecting something new from his performances everytime, I still find myself in awe when I see and hear him doing what seems like his second nature — something he just does without thinking about it. So unfair!
Wow..I couldn’t wait to get home so i could listen to these latest performances (even though I listened to Lee all day while driving everywhere)..I love that he sang A Song About Love it always makes me cry and want to take care of him and yes Heather your spot on about his voice being like a drug because I can hardly listen to anything but Lee and like Cindy I too am overdosing..it’s crazy..but I like it!!!
THANKS ROCCO! Hoped you liked the vids, I actually killed the life in three camera’s trying to get it and I had to shoot a bit of “The Plain White T’s” who were awesome as well! The Heritage Theater was cool and that was a well organized event….heck, they even gave us “hors d’oeuvres”<>>> Fun Night though

…..because Lee bear has been doing these kinda shows for what seems like forever….
BUT, the beauty of it all is that NOT one performance is ever the same. Lee has the “super duper” talent to change it up every single time he sings which makes every show brand new
I thought his rendition of ESS on last night show send me CHILLS.
Also just saw some tweets that Lee got a standing O (clap clap clap).
