When I heard Katy Perry’s possible new single was called “E.T.”, I automatically laughed and cast the song down into the dumb title = dumb song category.

But then, like Mamadukes taught me, I decided not to judge a song by a dumb title. I would miss out on a lot if I lived my life that way.

I gave it a listen…. and I kinda sorta like it.

I like that slow, synth drum beat. The lyrics are dumb… but no one is claiming Katy Perry is prophetic with her lyrics. Have you heard her music?? I don’t think she is attempting to win songwriter of the year.

Anyway… in discussing this with my friend M.E. (you can read her blog HERE and I’m gonna totally blow up her spot, and tell her she needs to write more. Yeah… I said it) she admitted that she fears E.T. Like the actual E.T.

But, not only does she fear him…. she abhors him!! Like would murder him if she had the chance. I’ve never heard such anger in a person’s voice.
