Lee D Just Dropped Some Beats On Us

Posted on: July 11, 2011

If I just send a boom box hollowed out and filled with muffins to Chicago with the words “Attention Wuli Records” on it, they’ll get it right??

I want to do this because they just made Lee D’s “Princess” a summer jam. Holy drum track Batman! I can now listen to Lee D in front of boys and where my “ya mon Jamaican” wig and still have friends. In fact, look for me tonight. I’ll be the girl, in the dred lock wig, air drumming all whilst dancing.

YA MON! Does my princess want some rum???

I know I just offended the whole Jamaican culture by equating them to nothing but rum drinkers when I fully know and understand that they also love tequila.

hey mon! love the jamaican jam :) think i’ll go get my hair braided with some pretty beads . . . peace out.

you should be in the video for this song!

I am so confused with this song….Wuli remasters this at the same time Lee starts playing what he now calls “You Can Stay If You Want”, which is “Princess” with a twist?????? This really confuses me. Do you think they planned this confusion on purpose or is it just me? Maybe I missed something?

oh “you can stay if you want” is “princess” reboot?? I have no idea. i thought he was just mashing shit together during his show because his dream is to be on glee.

i honestly have no idea but beats are being dropped

Don’t think they should mess up a good thing….but it’s still Lee….so I give it a 10. So….now we know what a bad hair day looks on our Lee Bear!

hhahahah if by bad hair day you mean awesome.. then yes lol

Hahahaha! You crack me up, Rocco! Love the rasta Lee :)

isnt that an awesome picture??? he should sell that on a t-shirt!

Did anyone else notice the “I’m your forgetmenot” at the very end of the song? It sounds almost like an afterthought but goes with “Princess” pretty well. This remix is OK imo, not my favorite version of the Lee Bear classic fo sho. The part I like least is the significantly toned-down harmony, followed by the half-hearted instrumental and vocal (the growl or sigh) accompanyment. The best part is Lee, of course. For me this track is by far the best demonstration of his vocals when he is calm and focused. Thanks, Rocco! You rock with whatever do on your head, I’m sure.

hahaha thank you. and i had no idea what he mumbled at the end so thank YOU for that

I love it!! Anything that has to do with Lee, old school Lee, and Wuli Records I’m in!! Especially all 3 of them put together lol
