Rocco's Pop Revolution: Seen through the eyes of someone living it

David Cook Has A Swoop Bang Again… And Sang Fade Into Me

Posted on: October 20, 2011

Thank god he’s singing “Fade Into Me” like the king of pop/rock songs, because that swoop bang is very distracting to me. He looks like Zac Efron… if Zac Efron lived in the middle America and stopped working for a few years and taught a middle school gym class instead.

But I guess I should appreciate that swoop bang because the dude sitting next to him with the washboard percussion instrument needs some conditioner.

Anyway, “Fade Into Me” done acoustically may be better than the original if that’s even possible.

I hope D Man and his hair stylist fade into one another and melt into a salon. Trim that hair!! But with that being said… this song is still so perfect.

I didn’t like the hair at first but it suits the onstage performances during the tour. It’s a very gritty rocker look.

swoop bang, exposed thigh…. this tour is for the record books

Who cares about the fing hair? Not me. The voice makes it all worthwhile. It is stunning on this version of Fade Into Me.

swoop bangs are just very distracting to me

So funny you should mention he looks like Zac Efron because Lee talks about having Zac play him in a movie about his life…no surprise as they have the ‘swoop bang/Baby swoop bang’ in common too! You know your stuff Rocco!! http://t.co/jX68vrfI

Love love love acoustic David Cook – though he’s a rocker at heart ,you know. and love the whole band [drum guy is techie sitting in for cutie drummer Kyle who might have been off seeing his new baby daughter]

Love this acoustic sooooo much–the original version is lovely, but acoustic is allows the lyrics and singer to be front and center. Thanks for posting!

Rocco, you’re a funny guy. You can insult a guy in the very same breath that you’re complimenting him. Rarely have I loved David Cook’s hair, but it SO doesn’t matter. His voice is gritty, yet clear as a bell. He’s a stand-out for sure. Love the guy. Thanks for giving him props. He’s very worthy. Great artist
