Rocco's Pop Revolution: Seen through the eyes of someone living it

Lee DeWyze Wrote A Song While Playing Operation Again

Posted on: April 30, 2012

Okay. I’ll admit it. That title was a long shot. I wrote before I actually heard the song, and he doesn’t actually mention an organ, which is a shame because with a title like “Breathing In” you think it would be full of factual information about the human body circa School House Rock . Did I lose you all?

Lee D. shoved a camera on his iPhone and played 48 seconds of his new song “Breathing In”. It’s exactly what you think it’s gonna be: 48 seconds of gee-tar strumming goodness topped off with raspy, yet delicate vocals tied with metaphorical lyrics of awesomeness. (I should really write album reviews for Rolling Stone).

Good stuff.

Now, I tried to find a picture of Lee Bear “breathing” and all I can find is one of him from the American Idol finale almost passing out because he’s not breathing. It’s kind of poetic if you get drunk and think about it a lot.
