*EDIT* Apparently, I’m a “great idiot” because I didn’t know some guy named Ben was in this movie. I thought Penn Badgley was acting a la Lindsay Lohan circa The Parent Trap. My apologies to all the massive Penn Badgley/Gossip Girl fans. I now realize 99% of the world love him.
Editor’s note: PEOPLE ARE REALLY UPSET ABOUT THIS POST. SO UPSET. I get it— no need to wish death upon my family or I (Plus, I’m an oprhan so you are wasting your death wishes) It’s two different actors. Maybe you people should relax, blame the casting directors/make up people for fooling the masses and then go rent some Gossip Girl.
I’m not going to see Greetings from Tim Buckley because one, Penn Badgley plays Jeff Buckley AND Tim Buckley and I’m not going to see him play two characters, and two, if I should be seeing double of anything it’s Robert Pattinson rocking a jew fro and being a bitter son.
Penn Badlgey is going to be so sad when this movie doesn’t do well and when Gossip Girl ends.

high five Alice! hmm & why does this author (& many more) assume Penn fans = gg fans. GG fans hate him & love ‘epic’ Chuck & Blair. real Penn fans hate gg & have more brain cells than most ppl assume. & Ben & Penn cant look more different in this film imo but whatever. Im pretty old by gg standarts & want to think not that stupid. Idk why people assume if a guy is from stupid teen tv show he cant be talented & his fans are sh**** nothing personal btw

He doesn’t play Jeff AND Tim you great idiot. Penn plays Jeff while Ben Rosenfield plays Tim. Do your research before you spout crap.
Penn has been praised in 99% of all reviews, he’s better than you, deal with it.

Oh well then Penn and this Ben Rosenfield look like twinsies. Sorry I didn’t sit on Wikipedia before I wrote this— I’m allergic to fact checking.

Why bother posting on something you know nothing about? You seem like you’re allergic to common sense.
Google it. I assume you know how to use that, despite your aversion to actual knowledge. Reviews on Penn for this movie are overwhelmingly positive, how sad for you and your unjustified ignorance.

ok geeeeeeez. I get it. Penn is god and this movie is the best thing ever. But I mean, you clearly haven’t seen “Step Up: Revolution” i 3D—now THAT was overwhelmingly positive. Good message.
